1995 Dodge Stealth RT Twin Turbo AWD

Fixed it for you. :D

Did it kick the Saab out of the garage, or is it a threesome now?

m21sniper 09-30-2009 11:46 AM

The Saab will be going bye bye.

I pick up the Stealth tommorow. The previous owner is a very wealthy night club owner whose barely driven it in the last 5 years. He asked my dad to sell it for him recently, and put $2200.00 in repairs into the car to get it 100% right, and then he decided for whatever reason not to sell it. Yesterday i saw him in his driveway and asked him why it was back under his tree collecting tree sap. He said make him an offer, i did.

Now it's mine. :D

Didn't the Stealth TT put out 300 hp stock? Aftermarket ECM's available to bump it up?

m21sniper 09-30-2009 02:12 PM

The 1995 Stealth RT Turbo has 320hp, 315lb-ft of torque and a 6 speed manual transmission. Factory 0-60 time appears to be 4.9 seconds.

..and what I believe is one of the world's strangest and most convoluted 4WD systems ever, with driveline parts availability that will rival your 928.

But ultimately a fun ass car.

In a similar corner, I've always really wanted a Eclipse GSX turbo. A friend has one for his 'winter car'. tons of boost, 4WD, and blizzak snow tires make it ridiculously fun in the snow.

m21sniper 09-30-2009 08:42 PM

I had a 96 Eclipse GS Turbo. More fun than a barrel of hookers.

The Stealth is what it is. I'll drive it for about 6 months to a year (like i stole it :D), sell it for a profit, and move on.

Nice! But you seriously need a set of the OEM swiss cheese wheels.

Just to be a nut and because I was a total Shelby Dodge Nerd back in the day: The 85-86 had what were refered to as "pizza" hole wheels. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1254426210.jpg

The early 83-84 Shelby Chargers and GLH had the "swiss cheese" wheels. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1254426354.jpg

I have them (pizza wheels). Those in the pic are Revolutions. Nice wheels. They were black at one time, then I painted them body color sometime in the mid 90's. Here is a pic of both from an old auto x. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1254425499.jpg

What about a Mitsubishi Galant VR4? Anybody remember those? Galants w/ the turbo Eclipse motor and AWD. I remember they were pretty neat back in the day.

m21sniper 10-01-2009 12:16 PM

I never even heard of that model.

Oh yeah, I remember those wheels too, now that you say it. The GLH I lusted after back in the day would have been an 84 if memory serves. Bright electric blue color and the swiss cheese wheels. Rusted away in some boneyard now, no doubt. It's cool that you have a survivor.

The were pretty good rally cars back in the late 80's early 90's. Not the most exciting looking sedan, but kind of a cool sleeper.

That would be Sante Fe Blue. That was my favorite color for both a GLH and Shelby Charger. I wanted an 85 since that was the first year of the turbo and ground effects. My second choice was silver, which was what I ended up with for my first car in '88. My second GLH was bought in 91 or 92 and as you can see above, was also silver. Still have it.

THOSE were cool. They should have brought them to the US. We always miss out on the neat cars.

Howz about...

http://image.caraudiomag.com/f/93529...enz_560sec.jpg

They are right about $5-$6K. Only the 560SEC would be what I consider, 288hp. Great lines and a classic and graceful car.

I'm actually watching one of these on ebay right now.

HHI944 10-03-2009 10:34 PM

There's a 71 Opel GT for sale locally for 2500obo, that's what I'd get if I were going to buy another cheap car to dump obscene amounts of money into.
