Garage floor tiles_underlayment?

Just ordered a batch of floor tiles from these guys:

Trade Show Flooring, High End Garage Flooring, Tile Garage Floor Coin Pattern – JNK Products

Can anybody advise me on underlayment? I have a concrete floor, and I want to put something between the concrete and the tiles to muffle sound.

I was thinking of felt, the kind you get at the fabric store, or even burlap, just something cheap that will help damp the clickety clack of floating hard plastic floor tile.

Anybody have any experience? How about that foam they use under floating hardwood floors?

Thanks in advance.

Why not use the underlayment for engineered floors?

something like this...acts as a vapor barrier etc....

Bruce at Lowe's: Standard Laminate Underlayment - 100 sq. ft.

Well if you are in Portland, I don't think you going to want burlap or any other absorbent material under there. It will be mold central. laminate floor foam is probably a good option, but its going to get squished pretty quickly by the the weight of a vehicle. Rubber roofing material for flat roofs?

Those are going to be quiet by themselves. If you put foam underneath ( even at 1/8" ) you will compact it where the tires constantly travel on it. This will create valleys and give you a higher chance for the tiles to move when driven on with joint to joint sound created.

I hear what you're saying about the joint to joint issue. Good thought. I think I'll go to Lowes this morning and check out options.

I work at a chemical company and we used the stair tread system in the same compound and tile design. These were set in a mastic with a noched trowel.Very durable to wear, chemical resistant, quiet and soft to walk on. You can always set like that.

I was looking on Armstrong's site for VCT tiles. WTF is wrong with that site? It's the worst organized commercial site I've seen. I couldn't find any mention of garage tiles there. I gave after about five min.
