PPOT Fantasy Baseball League, Vol. 2
Last year's league was a lot of fun and very competitive. I have this year's league up and ready to go already; so far, four of us from last year are back and ready to compete. That leaves 8 open spots at the moment. Returning managers from last year would take priority, but otherwise the first 8 PPOTers that want in will have a spot.

 It should be a fun time again this year. You may want to push the draft back a week or so. |

The only change I would like to see is a little more time per pick in the draft...that baby was really moving last year.

I'm in again. Have you played head-to-head? It gives teams the feel of playing against each other week to week. Just a thought. Looking forward to participating either way. Thanks for your efforts setting this up.

I enjoyed it although I had hardly no time to put into the team last year and this year doesn't look much better. I hate the thought of being an "abandoned team" manager, so if someone wants my slot they can have it. If not, I'll get back in and TRY to pay more attention this year but we'll see...

The problem with Head-to-Head is the playoff structure: in a head-to-head league, almost every team makes the playoffs, and of those, almost every team has a chance to win it all... which completely negates all the effort and time you put into managing your team during the regular season. I've been in head-to-head leagues in which I was in 1st BY A MILE throughout the entire season and then end up coming in 3rd after the week of playoffs, and I've been in leagues where I was ranked 5th in the regular season and then end up coming in 1st after the playoffs. Doesn't make any sense to me. It makes more sense in football, in my humble opinion.

keep it rotis. it made things interesting towards the end there because the stats were getting so close. it really is like a playoff run towards the end.

Yes, we had some good fights in the last month or so.
The league will be rotisserie, and it's hosted by Yahoo! I actually have the league up and ready to go; I initially had scheduled the draft for this Saturday, but I will move it back a week or so.

I still talk to a lot of people who think that watching LOST or driving a fast car is pointless and a waste of time... until they try it. Then they're hooked. (this only works if you watch LOST from the first season)

The computer figures out the stats; all you have to do is set up your lineups for the day (the Yahoo! page tells you who's playing and who isn't).
