Austrailian Pink Floyd
Saw the Australian Pink Floyd show last night. First concert I have been to since Jerry died. A definate must see for you hard core pink floyd fans out there. These guys have some real talent, and pulled of the classics almost as good as the real thing. What I liked most is that you know how some pink floyd stuff was not meant to listen to as idividual songs, rather as a whole musical piece, and these guys nailed it. I guess we are getting old, lots of gray hair in the audience.
Saw the real thing live in 88. and 90, and was up there as one of the best live shows I have ever seen, David Gilmore is one of my all time favorite guitarists .

The Floyd live is not to be missed.
Caught them a few times over the years. Another great "can they pull of the studio sound live" bands is Yes. Gabriel era Genesis and first couple of years Collins Genesis were also great live shows.

I've seen the Roger Waters DSOTM tour and have heard a lot of good things about the Australian gig. I have a friend who saw the Cheap Trick "Sgt, Peppers" concert and said that was a great one also.

How much do you value your kids ecucation.
My brother in law, and sister law make pretty good money. They have 4 kids in private school. We dropped of my kid last night to be baby sat there, and there was no electricity. They did not pay the bill. I guess they have been struggling with money for some time now. Both are working. What I want to know, is at what point is your kids education more important than day to day life. I know the tab for the four kids schooling is well over 50k a year. I know you have to make sacrifices in life, but I think If I was having a hard time keeping food on the table, and keeping the lights on and furnace lit ,My kid may be doing a stint in public school. They live in the city , so the school district the kids would have to attend is less than spectacular.

Well I would say Pink Floyd concert comes before the kids education and food!
