A funny from a Bullitt Mustang board

Don't laugh too much...it could happen to anybody:

" Scary Call-Bullitt

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Got a 'scary' call last night..get home, throw my clothes in the wash...wife gets a call on her cell, she then asks me where my cellphone is at...I'm like uhh..I think I left it in the cupholder out in the Bullitt..she says well someone with your cellphone is calling me and I can hear a commotion...

I grab a Glock, and run out...its there, but I have sunblinds in the windshield, so I cant see in..but no broken window, and no one inside..get back inside, wife gets another call...I listen in...I hear something...maybe someone running with the cell in his pocket...running maybe....or TUMBLING AROUND AND AROUND...like as in my pants pocket, going around in the wash.....I guess the calls were my Katana II last call for help as it shorted out!

I blew it out with a hairdryer and have it sitting in a bag of rice...keeping my fingers crosssed....but, what a relief...nothing compared to the thought of the Bullitt getting stolen."

My wife has done that with two of my cell phones.

She has finally understood that jeans on the end of the bed or on the cedar chest are "ready to wear again" and jeans in the hamper are "ready to wash". I often leave my keys, phone, and wallet in the "ready to wear again" jeans.

LOL!

My iPod Shuffle has been through two complete wash/dry cycles so far. Still works fine, go figure.

Cells do not like getting washed and dried, at least the several of mine my wife has washed didn't. Good luck.

What are you going to do? Yell at the wife? I certainly wouldn't. I'd rather buy a new phone every now and then than doing my own laundry! I am keeping my phone in all sorts of pockets, hoping to upgrade due to water damage.

Do guys with Mustangs with the Bullitt option really refer to their Mustangs as "Bullitts?" I don't know why, but that makes me laugh.

Huh, I took my Ipod nano in the steam room and now it has a passion for locking up.

And how do you refer to your vehicles? Just curious...Actually, when talking with Cindy, I use "Mustang"...but use "Bullitt" when talking to Mustang guys so they'll know the model...

Cell phone? Mine hasn't gone through the laundry...yet. But then, I try to empty pockets before tossing clothes in the hamper. Gotta confess, my pocket knife has been washed more than once though.

Pretty much same here.

Although I do leave credit cards and money in my pants if I know they are going back on.

It's been my experience that most married men over 50 do not do laundry. Or make their own dinner. Or make their own lunches for work.

That was my first thought when I read the story. Good thing the guy didn't own an Explorer:

"what a relief...nothing compared to the thought of the Eddie Bauer getting stolen." just doesn't seem to have the same caché.

thats about the age my dad started doing all that for himself again. after the heart atack he was on a special diet that no one else wanted a part of. he just found it easier to do all the cooking himself.

laundry day was always monday...if you needed it before then mom said "DO IT YOURSELF"

i made the "2 foot" rule. if it is within 2 feet of the hamper, it is dirty, anything else can be worn again.
