What do u have on front license plate (States where a front tag is not required)?
Just curious. I am in a state where a front license plate is not required. Don't run anything on other cars but my new (to me) 525 Touring has an area for mounting a front tag that looks goofy without something there....especially with the mounting holes exposed. Clever or "funny" tags are not my style. Right now it has a dealer logo plate which I don't care for. A chrome tag with a BMW logo looks kind bling bling. Suggestions?

I have a few different ones, my favorite is a vintage Brumos tag....

Despite the fact that my state requires front plates, all my cars are nekkid up front. Sexy!

Yeah, Cali requires the front plate, but not the tag, which adds to the foolishness of the law.

fake euro tag?

You didn't really use "u" in the place of "you" in the thread title.
Tell me you didn't. :D Both our front bumpers are bare. I think the wife's Camry may have holes... I think it still looks better than with something there, but it's dark green, so that may help. Most people around here who can't stand looking at a bare bumper put on a plate heralding their favorite college. Which one did you attend, and have you considered that? |
Good god man! Just go down to the BMW dealer and order the proper panel to replace the front tag panel.
Here's a photo of my wife's old '94 525i. It has the panel you need. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1255125528.jpg |
I have a white with Blue BMW logo plate you can have if you want to install a plate.
The wife insisted on having it on the 528. I lost the argument that time. I don't run any front plates other than a simple black Porsche crest on the 911 but that's to help cover the road rash.:p maybe a cool "git 'er done" plate would be the ticket? |

Front plates are required but only two cars have 'em on. The '70 911 was missing the front plate and has a replica California blue.
I got a ticket for no front plate on the M5 but my rebellious nature keeps it on anyway. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...W/DSC02346.jpg http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...W/DSC01595.jpg |
One can never have too many lights. The flat surface for the plate is a perfect size for aux driving lights.

It's not on the Porsche, but this guy has gone to get parts for the Porsche, so that sorta counts.

I run a custom plate. Red with the Porsche crest and black 944 letters. I'll get a picture up when I'm not on the iPhone.
Jim hit me up if you want something custom hit me up. My folks would probably do one for 15+s/h |

I kept mine simple, a $1.99 black Manny Moe and Jack plastic frame and a $5 mall made plate printed FUBAR.

NY requires a front plate
when I do a ride out of state I remove front plate but leave the worthless tinted anti-laser plastic piece on so it looks like there is a plate underneath when HP lasers me he shoots a million times thinking he's shooting at my front license plate. Somewhere in there he figures out he better take aim at my headlight for a good reading If no plate they go right for your headlight different strokes...... |
