Two boys riding in a convertible were hurt when one of them drove off the edge of a road and their vehicle plunged a hundred feet down a cliff, it was reported Sunday.

The accident, which happened at the 20000 block of West Sesnon Boulevard, occurred Sunday at around 1:44 p.m., according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The convertible had landed on its wheels and the two boys, ages 15 and 12, were reportedly able to climb out of it, firefighters told the Los Angeles Daily News.

The 15-year-old boy took his father's Porsche out for a joy ride, then possibly lost control, the newspaper reported.

Both boys were in serious condition and were taken by helicopter to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.

Yep, that's what he should go with...

Psshht. It's just a Boxster.

Just a little joke for those 986/7 owners with thin skin.

I joke, but most important is the health of the two boys. Daddy's prized car or not, the Boxster is extremely replacable, unlike the two kids.

Tho at this point, he's probably wishing that he had always used a condom...

Good point, Paul. Kids are somewhat replaceable, too, I suppose. Though it takes a little bit more effort than with a mass-produced car.

As a father, I sometimes wish my kids could be temporarily replaceable. With something like a ficus tree.

I think we all know it was.
I bet about halfway down the hill they were looking for the 'reset' button, then they were like crap, this is real. Thats crazy that they were in serious condition and were still able to climb out of the car.

Maybe they were in serious condition after the father got ahold of them.
