Belly band for ccw?

Anyone use one or tried one? What did you think?

I don't like it for two reasons:

1. I just find a pistol squeezing into my stomach uncomfortable.
2. Makes me sweat.

I use one...i like it for the simple fact that I can position it almost under my armpit and no one ever knows it's there...on the other hand, I hate the way it causes the barrel of the weapon to dig into my side when i am driving with it on...I would recommend buying the one made by Galco if you are going to get one, very good quality..

Funny, I was just looking at a Galco one last night and debating on trying it out. Until I saw the pricetag. $60+tax at the gun shop whereas it's $40 online.

money well spent...take it from me...i went with a cheap knock off at first but went back and bought the Galco...when you compare the two side by side, the quality of the Galco stands out big time...besides, you drive a Porsche ...the adage you get what you pay for applies to belly bands as well

I used mine while on my routes in this:

a mobile espresso shop...never had any problems...but needless to say I no longer operate the truck in the Killeen, TX area, the idea never caught on like i hoped it would (but that is another post)...its for sale BTW

I have one but never use it. You have to keep it fairly tight depending on the weight of the weapon you carry. This makes them very uncomfortable. There are better options.

No, I meant the Galco is $60+ at the shop and $39.99 online.

Shop is WAY overpriced. They still sell .45ACP FMJs at $50/box, and full MSRP on all guns.

Agreed. A Keltec .32 or .380 with pocket clip is a hell of a lot more comfortable. Galco is money well spent vs. Uncle mikes or other cheap crap, always.

When I was a kid, I carried my pocketknife to school in a belly band.

Funny Jeff.

I have a Kel-Tec PF9 with a belt clip. It's light but I don't always like it in my belt. I thought the belly band might allow me to carry it above my belt line making it a little more comfortable. And it looks like it'll print less.

I've just been carrying my p32 with 10rd clip and crimson trace laser all the time. It's so damn light and thin. With the full size grip and the laser it's got almost target gun like accuracy.

I love it.
