1. pretty cool, but looks kind of big and heavy in the photos. That may just be an illusion.

2. is very cool. It reminds me of a McLaren, I think.

3. I LOVE the big healeys.

4. It's OK too.

Nice turn out Dean. What is the last pic, with the wide whitewalls?

I dig the bare metal car on the top pic, Is that developed from a 914? Looks like one I saw a few years ago at cars and coffee Irvine. Does it have a bare metal interior?
I can't seem to find my pic of the car.

Thanks for posting.

Cheers Richard

I think the Comete is beautiful; I would love to tool around in something like that, the McLaren copy isn't bad looking, and big Healeys always get a second look from me.

The 914 is not my cuppatea.....

The Healy has been widened, 1 1/2", the Healy owners should be able to tell from the pics. the guy wanted to run bigger wheels but didn't want fender bulge. The Comete is a Ford Flathead car made in France.

Are you kidding? Widen the entire car to fit bigger wheels? This guy must be a founding member of the More-Money-Than-Brains club.

Sometimes people tell you they did something for one reason, when really it was only PART of the reason.

Most common reason to widen the whole car is to gain width in the cockpit area. Gaining the wheel clearance is a nice thing to say (and a great addition) but it was probably not the main reason.

In this case, increasing the width was but a minor part of a complete re-construction to combine the best features of the Series 1 and Series 3 E-Types. It was not done solely to allow for larger wheels or to gain more cockpit room (another idiotic idea).
