An NA in that condition would be a good buy at that price... love the color!

Pretty sure it is Zermatt Silver. I will do a little more digging after work today and find the paint tag.

Schumi 10-20-2009 06:17 AM

That is one hell of a steal. Wow.

Hows the engine look? Does it meet my criterion of a good 951 - i.e. leaks no more than 2 fluids and uses no more than 3 quarts of oil a month?

fastfredracing 10-20-2009 07:13 AM

The battery was dead , so the tow truck driver let it run for the whole 45 mins it was in tow, while it was on the flatbed, I did not see any signs of any leaks anywhere. I have not racked the car yet , but looks dry as can be. Wow!

Broken glass? Perfect candidate for a 968 hatch swap! They look GREAT on the 951.

That was my very first thought, but I already had a couple of 944 back glasses left over from the my small army of 944's that I used to have. I wanted to get it under cover as fast as possible so that I can move it in and out of the shop .

Nah, you just have to find someone parting. I've seen a few over the years, but its not the most common car ever.

berettafan 10-20-2009 12:55 PM

holy cow nice score!!!!

i may be a hoodlum driving my 911 but a 951 would most definitely provide me with stories of jail time for speeding.

fastfredracing 10-20-2009 06:27 PM

It gets even better. I bought the car from a second party, who never transferred the title into his own name, I believe they call this " curbing " the title. The guy I bought the car from buys junk cars and scraps them for a living.
I looked up the original owner today, and called him. He was real nice, and talked to me for over an hour. Can you believe that he sold this Turbo S to the junk man for $300.00. Simply unbelievable. I thought I got a great deal.
We are meeting for a couple of beers this weekend, he seemed real eager to tell me everything he knows about the car.

Schumi 10-20-2009 07:39 PM

This blows my mind.

onewhippedpuppy 10-20-2009 07:43 PM

$300?! Holy hell! Why can't I find THOSE deals?

ERAU944 05-31-2010 10:39 AM

geez, and i thought i stole mine for $3,500.

m21sniper 05-31-2010 11:09 AM

And i thought i stole my 928 for $3400.

Wow, great deal!

s_morrison57 05-31-2010 11:28 AM

Sweet deal and to have the original owner willing to tell you about it is worth a lot IMO.

slow&rusty 05-31-2010 11:53 AM
