There goes my drivers license again

Not really, but I just scored a 944 Turbo S. I scan local craigslist every day for porsche stuff, and it has been slow as of late, but persistence pays off. Car is silver with black interior, 83k on the odo, super clean, except the back hatch glass is shattered ( i have a couple of extra back glasses at the shop ) and there is a little mold on the sweet porsche script seats.
I sold my last 951 right after my kid was born, it was of my favorite cars .
Guy was losing everything, his house, his buisness etc.. He wanted 2k, I didnt even haggle. I can hear the timing belt slapping the covers but not a big deal, I know these cars inside and out, and can probably whack out all of the maintanence in a weekend . Clutch felt strong, but If I had to put one in I would not be upset. As much as I would like to flip it and make a bundle, A clean one owner turbo S may be a keeper.
Now to head down that slippery slope, cat by pass, maf, waste gate etcc.. MY crecdit card and my drivers license are gonna be hurtin'
I will post up some pics tomorrow when I drag it home.

Mold on seats? You checked for flood damage right?

Dang, a running turbo S for 2k? That's a steal!

My BIL bought a 944 last October that Tab Tanner recommended. He loves the car and after Tab performed some minor repairs (belt, motor mounts, manifold gasket), the car runs great and he loves it, especially since he only paid $2500 for it!

Wanna make $250 profit?

Wickd89 10-18-2009 08:17 PM

You now own a ferrari-killer, for $2000.

I love those cars.

Damn nice buy.

I miss my 951. Someday I will get another.

Pics to come when I get home tonight. I got the car late today , and I am geeked . I could not resist playing with it for a little bit. Definately a Turbo S, verified m44/52 engine code, threaded collar struts, adjustable koni's, and huge 928 s4 calipers. This car is actually in super condition . After a good clean up, maybe an 8. A huge pile of reciepts for dealer service in the glovebox, and looks as if there are no mods. A few dents, few scrapes, gonna need a lot of maintanence, but this is by far the best deal I have ever gotten on any porsche, or any car for that matter.
The porsche gods are shining on me today .
