Leatherique in the cold - any tips?
I know the preferred Leatherique process is to apply then leave your car closed up in the sun and heat for a few days. But what if it's cold? Any tips? I'm thinking a closed garage, trash bags over the seats, and a heater blowing into the car. The new Subie needs a little love in the outer bolster area, a little Leatherique should get it looking like new again.

If you can put the heater in the car and seal it up once it has been applied. You can also use a hair dryer to heat up the leather before you put it on.

You definitely need heat to open the pores. Hence the hot summer day. If you can safely do it using a space heater in the car then I would give it a try. You need that interior over 90 degrees for several hours.

As long as it is sunny, wouldn't you get the greenhouse effect?

Our highs are between 50 and 60 this week. Even in direct sunlight, it doesn't get nearly hot enough in a closed car.

Let it sit in the sun at work and go to local truck stop and get one of those 12volt truck heaters...

Put a small space heater on something solid/stable in the front passenger footwell (extension cord thru rolled-up window). I've done it before in cold WA winters with good results.

I know it's not really the same situation, but for 2 years running I have put it on just as it goes into unheated winter storage & cleaned it off with Pristine in the spring. My leather seats are surprisingly supple.

Yank the seat and apply indoors in a warm room.

I was going to suggest running a hose from the tail pipe to the interior but I think this idea might be a little better.
