Ahhh, but the BIKE! Rode up to Napa with a friend (he has a Triumph Speed Triple). We went over the Oakville Grade into Glen Ellen then down through Sonoma. Five hours of riding. Now that I've put more than 1000 miles on the bike, I've changed my opinion a bit. The bike is solid and handles much better than I expected. It carves turns nicely for a "cruiser" and is stable and holds a nice line on mountain roads. It responds to countersteering beautifully. The braking is exceptional, as is the acceleration. The water cooled 1250cc revolution motor loves high RPM's. I'm happier than I expected to be with the bike. |

motorcycle accident pictures - Google Search The dude with his stuck in the back of a semi trailer otta do it. Too late? You can still sell it, the riding season is early. |
My first HD was a V-Rod... I sold it for my Street Glide, but sometimes I still miss the rush of wind and roar of the 60 deg. V-twin when I twisted the throttle on that basterd.
And it looked hot to boot! V-Rods are cool bikes but are generally chastized by the most ardent wannabee biker types that drape themselves in everything and anything licensed by HD. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1271035767.jpg |
I've always like the V-rod.
