Dollhouse
Well, I've found something to replace BSG on Fridays: Dollhouse.
The first two episodes were slow, the third started to get good, and the fourth and fifth were excellent. The whole premise of the show is that there is this thing called the "Dollhouse" that rents out people for specific tasks. The "Dolls" have their memories wiped and a new personality for each mission. The show was created by Joss Whedon, stars Eliza Dushku, and has Tahmoh Pennikett (Helo) and Mark Sheppard (Romo Lampkin) from BSG playing FBI agents. For the BSG fans, many of the episodes reveal a main character to be a "Doll", similar to when Cylons were being revealed...

Aggggh. If you guys think Dollhouse is good, go back and watch Terminator.
It has had it's dull episodes but I swear last night's episode was some of the best hour of TV I have ever seen. Its some emotional stuff. It's not all action like they would leave you to believe... I guess it's hard to just start watching because theres so much backstory. But it's on hulu- watch the episode that just aired and the one before it. "Today is the Day part 1" and "part 2"... It's good, trust me..

Whedon is a HUGE BSG fan. I'm sure that was intentional because he wanted to capture the BSG fan base. The shows are also on at close to the same time--the first five episodes of Dollhouse aired an hour before the last five episodes of BSG. Coincidence? Or did they want to make for an easy transition for an already established fan base.
Dolls we know about so far: Alpha Echo Sierra Victor Well, there is one more, but we don't know his/her "doll" name and I don't want to ruin it.

Whedon created Serenity, right? He's pretty talented and his new show, Dollhouse, is good. I wish he'd bring Serenity back though.

The ship's name was Serenity. The TV show was Firefly. The movie afterwards was Serenity.

wasn't that impressed with the first episode. but wheedon's shows don't start to make sense til a half a season in.
he does have a talent for finding spectacularly hot actresses.

Another good episode.
This show is slowly building steam and gets better and better with each episode.

Get on Hulu and watch this show. It is a worthy replacement for BSG.

Whiskey too....
Seriously. Watch this show. It's good. And Joss Whedon is hiring actors from BSG left and right. Michael Hogan (Colonel Tigh) and Jamie Bamber (Apollo) have been on recent episodes.

I'm watching this show on the regular again. It's getting better and better.
Any my favourite babe of all time is supposedly guest starring in later episodes this season....

Bringing this back to TTT- Dollhouse is on a break till december, but until then-
if you haven't seen the unaired season 1 finale episode "Epitaph One" - go rent the DVD or whatever you need to do to go see it right now. It's that good. Amazingly good. I guess it was an episode that they filmed to air incase the show was axed before the end of the season or something. It doesn't fit with any of the other episodes, and would basically make for a series finale if it had to. They ended up never airing it. It's pretty amazing and offers insight into some characters that makes season 2 that much better. I'm starting to see the deeper genius in this show.
