I can't understand going into the wilderness unarmed. There it's coyotes, here it's meth heads.

That's gotta be a horrible way to go. I don't think too many teenage Canadian women carry guns, even in the bush. I see coyotes almost every day and have never been without a gun when I saw one. I've seen them running around my neighborhood, which is by no means remote.

I ignore that law in the US, though the new one allowing CCW per state law in nat. parks goes into effect in Feb. I'd rather take my chances in front of a jury while armed with a lawyer than in front of wild animals while unarmed.

I had a half-coyote dog when I was a kid. It was very passive and shy but I saw it get in fights with other dogs a couple times, including with two Dobermans, and its ferocity was unreal, like a friggin' Tasmanian Devil.

This is a tragic story and a reminder to me to take coyotes seriously and to talk to my kids. They are all over the place and we usually don't give them a second thought.

I don't see the problem with re introducing Wolves to their habitat. It's the humans that think they have to kill everything i have a problem with.

unbelievable! all the coyotes that i have encountered were so scared of me. i have called them in with squeaks from my mouth. they hear me, think injured rodent and come running in. i usually have a weapon with me, like my bow. i am not interested in shooting a coyote, but it is fun to see how close they will come. i usually get busted at about 10 yards. i have been so nervous that i stood up. the yote has a heartattack, and disappears!

poor girl. i guess she looked like easy prey.
