How accurate is your internal clock?
Been working a lot of hours, My alarm is set to go off at 4:25am and for the past several weeks it has not gone off, I always wake up about 5 min prior to it going off. Now we will see what happens on Monday when we set our clocks back this weekend, will my internal clock still get it rite and get that extra hour of sleep or not?

My internal clock works great and I am quite sure I will get up as I normally do.
Every morning my wife wakes me up (no matter what time) and has for about 15 years now.

I have been known to wake up in the middle of the night, and guess what time it is -- I am typically off by less than 10 minutes most of the time. Often, I am within a minute or two of the real time. I've also been known to do the same during the day, even when I haven't seen a clock for a long period of time.
Not sure if this is realated or not, but all too often, when I am travelling - be it car, motorcycle, walking...etc. as I pass by a street light, it will flicker out. This happens all too often to be considered to be coincidence. And yes - it isn't the car's headlights - it happens with multiple cars, when I am driving as well as when I'm a passenger, and even when I am walking. My wife says it is my magentic personality that is causing this. And yes - I do wear an aluminum foil hat when I go to bed. If the aliens are going to abduct anyone, it's going to be someone with special powers. And with a name like Zoltan and the 'special' powers I have, I am a prime candidate... -Z-man. Edit: I just tested myself, and guessed it was 12:13, which it was. Last time I checked the clock, it was prior to 12. All your base are belong to us.

Yep. usually beat the alarm by a few minutes and have a pretty good idea of the time through the day, without looking at a watch.
The thing that surprised me was on the morning of our first full day on our first trip to the UK. We flew through the night the day before and got into Heathrow around 11 AM GMT, picked up our car and traveled to our accommodations, did the usual touristy stuff and went to bed. In the morning, I opened my eyes at 6 AM as usual and glanced at the clock, amazed that although I was 4 time zones ahead of where I started, my 'clock' had adjusted to local time. I was good to go. My wife, on the other hand hates time changes. Les

Haven't used an alarm clock in 15 years.
Normally I wake up way before I have to and dread the fact that I could have gotten more much needed rest. Its the curse of running your own business and having little kids. You have to sleep with too much on your mind and with 1 ear open for the little ones. Last night my 2yr old fell out of bed and for some reason I thought it was 7am. I took care of him and logged on the computer to check emails. It was then that I realized it was 3 am. I could swear I thought it was starting to get light out. Maybe I wasn't completely awake, just running on auto pilot. Sometimes my internal clock is a little off.

. . . -Z-man. If you replace "time" and "minute" with "year," I am right there with you.

I've got an internal clock, and I'm pretty sure it's right. But I don't use it.

When something is up I wake up 10 minutes before the clock. When I am really busy (oveseas trip or the like) if I have forgotten something I usually wake up 20-30 minutes before the alarm. Happened far too often to dismiss it.
One thing that has helped is taking Ginko. The level of alertness is noticeable, course there are times that this is not a good thing. ![]()

Sorry, the human body was NOT designed to get up before 9... |

I intentionally ignore my internal clock.
I can't fall asleep if I know what time it is.

Reminds me of a story......sorry if i stray from topic.
I used to work in the coal mines in Queensland. There was one particular crane driver who used to amuse the new guys with his time telling abilities. When asked the time, he would remove his hard hat, raise it toward the sun, look down at the shadow, raise to the sun ect, then proclaim the time to be..... always right. He had the kids convinced that he had super powers. Little did they know about the watchface glued in the inside of his helmet. My father said to me; if i needed to awake at a certain time without an alarmclock; when i go to bed, keep repeating....i will wake up at [insert time]. Dont ask me how, but it works for me.

As far as time of day... I'm usually plus or minus ten minutes.
As far as what day it is... that can be another story..
