Paypal Question
Can a Paypal transaction be reversed? Someone sold me a part.......and shipped a different part. Let's call it a........ mischaracterization.

Oops. Meant to post this on the off-topic board.

Supe:
Yes. They have a procedure on the web page to dispute a charge. Sometimes it works, sometimes is does not. |
Dispute the charge, they tend to side with the buyer.
|
Thank you.

Do it quick. They tend to screw both sides. I have reversed one of these but only after calling AmEx and stopping the charge. PayPal was furious about it but AmEx would not budge and saved my bacon.
I hate PP but still use it from time to time. |

Dave,
Found that out early on. Had a bank account attached to PP and they locked it up over something silly. OK MF'ers, two can play that game. After the block was lifted I closed the bank account and kept only the AmEx on the account. They are not happy but I learned... |
My PayPal account was hacked a while ago. Last week I finally decided to open a new account using a only a credit card. All is good, then a screen pops up at the end and PayPal wants my bank account info to "complete the registration process" with no way I could see to get around it. Fuch that. So I clicked out of the entire thing and forget about it. Next morning, I've got an email from them with a link to confirm my new account  I click it and I'm in with just the CC. The bank account info is only to 'enhance your account' but they present it like it is a required part of the sign up.
They are a very devious company .... but what is the alternative? |
