My friends and I built a replica of the Donahue/ Sunoco/ Yenko/ Camaro. I am currently donating labor to restore vintage Gm cars. I love old Iron.

Bruce Canepa?

What is his story? Is he self made or old money? I cannot find any real history or bio on him. Just curious, thanks.

Very cool. Thanks for sharing with us.

I like simplistic look of the displays.

His dad had a Lincoln/Mercury franchise in Santa Cruz for years. He retired quite a while ago to spend time fishing and cruising on his big motor yacht. Bruce started with a small sports/exotic car shop in the early 80s and was also developing aero kits for big rig tractors. I'm guessing here but family money probably helped start the ball rolling. He then got into federalizing and upgrading 959s when the import restrictions were relaxed and started building his reputation for high-end custom SUVs, bikes & cars. He amassed the collection over time and has always been an active amateur road racer. This year's SPEED coverage of the Monterey Historics featured Canepa piloting a 935 in one of the heats.

on top of all that, it had a space saver spare tire tucked away under there! some goofy fia rule.

the white pantera had about 175 miles on it. basically brand new!

there were many of his cars that i didnt take pics of. we also got to check out his shop and some of the cars he was working on. out of respect for his customers privacy, i wont post those. even his shop was immaculately clean like his show room!

Wow. Nice collection, and nicely eclectic. Can you imagine, sleepless night, lots on your mind, you just go into the garage at 2am and walk around.

Thanks for the pix.

Bucket List! And not too far from here!

I'm imagining going in under similar circumstances and firing up that Shadow and taking it out for a little drive.

definitely! the morning started out foggy, but cleared up for a cool, clear day. perfect weather for our air cooled cars. after the visit to canepa's, we had a fun drive on some twisties out to the coast. had a nice lunch in pescadero. i have something in the works for our next drive/gtg!
