Cufflinks or Silk Knots?
I just bought a shirt with French Cuffs (a first for me) and I'm not sure which way to go. It's not a business/suit shirt, if that were the case I would obviously buy cufflinks.
Any input on which style or where to buy is appreciated. |

I didn't even know what a silk knot was until this thread.
Silk knot sure looks more casual.

Silk knots are casual, but there are "casual" cufflinks, too. Great conversation starter when talking with the wimmin...I used to have about 200 pr., but rarely wear anything but polo shirts now.

Those caliper/rotor cufflinks are awesome. I might have to find a pair of those.

I'm a cufflink guy. When I see someone wearing the silk knots I think to myself "those came along with the shirt and the guy doesn't own cuff links."

well, every flight attendant i know wears 10K cufflinks
![]() they are a widely known "gay" accessory... you're talking to a straight, young guy who wears Burberry, D&G, Prada, etc. for the older guys here, just know what attention you might get...

Ohh...I get it! Everyone who wears cufflinks must be a homo!
OK. Thanks for clearing that up. I think the same exact thing when I see men wearing necklaces, more than one ring and "Livestrong" bracelets... ![]() ![]() Last edited by Danny_Ocean; 11-15-2009 at 07:00 PM.. |

if you would have read what i said, you would realize that was just pointing out the fact that they are widely known to be a gay accessory. i never once said that all cufflink wearers are homos.
i think the level and transistor cufflinks are pretty cool. i will state again: just be aware that if you wear cufflinks today, you may attract the wrong attention. understood?

...and by the way, overly heterosexual fictional characters that star in movies aren't the norm....

Y'know...cufflinks might benefit you. It prevents one from wiping their nose with their sleeve... ![]() |

you're awful defensive about pointing out a simple fashion trend. ...and that's coming from a guy who wears a $250 baseball hat when going to the grocery store.
Here's a pair for you, Danny... Penis cufflinks
