Best Looking Land-Yacht?

There's a dealer near me that sells mostly old boats...aka land-yachts, or early 70s luxury beasts. Anyway, they seem to be either tacky (pimpmobiles) or quite beautiful. My two favorites:

3rd gen. Buick Riviera

First gen. Oldsmobile Toronado

That Riviera is a thing of beauty. I wonder if they had to get permission from the Corvette Division to do that C2-reminiscent back glass.

I loved the 1st and 2nd generation Riviera's, too.

Speaking of Buicks, when I was 12-13 ('63-ish), we had a '59 LeSabre in a medium emerald green... there's a kind of beauty in its awkwardness...

The old man paid me a dollar every Saturday I washed it. Year-round... used warm water from the tub faucet in cold weather. Got a dollar for washing his Ford Econoline work vehicle, too. Two bucks a week... slot racing money.

That back end is amazing, and the vents on each side are interesting too. I never thought I'd be drooling over a Buick Buicks got kind of ugly in the 80s and never quite recovered their charm I don't think.

I'll take both! The Riviera more so. A well done modern hot roding on that platform would make for a great driver. Interesting, sexy and could be respectabily fast and fun.

Early 70's chrysler newport 2 door.
Clean lines, a rear quarter panel 8 feet long, and you can darn near put a full sheet of plywood in the truck.
I've heard the doors weigh more than a honda civic.

'71 Fleetwood. I still kind of miss the one I had about a dozen years ago.

According to Wikipedia..the '72-'73 Imperial LeBaron is the longest non-limousine car ever made (235"). It's not a very attractive car though. The Newport is also huge...for a 2 door! I can imagine swinging those huge doors open in a tight parking space...or trying too
