Torque Vectoring Diffs
I've seen a couple of writeups on this ZF innovation, which BMW introduced. Here is one:

That X6 M is a ridiculous vehicle. It's too big to be a sports saloon yet too small to be a real workable SUV.
And it weighs 5300 lbs. 'F-in noooo.

My pickup truck weighs 5,300 lbs.
And I can carry five people AND fill the bed with crap AND tow a 9,000 lb. trailer...

Prodrive's Active Torque Dynamics (ATD) system has been around for years now. There's a demonstration on youtube, which is quite impressive.
I wouldn't own something like the X6, but if you wants the commandeering seating position of an SUV, speed, good vehicle dynamics, and "the latest thing" - it's your vehicle. The X6 is quite popular in Shanghai (more so that the X5), though not quite on par with the Cayenne.

The Cayenne Turbo S is just as quick, holds more cargo, and can tow more I'm sure.
And is much more macho SUV that that bastardation of an M badge.

Disregarding things like practicality, performance, tow capacity, etc, I like the looks a lot. I think I am the only one too. Its nice to see a larger SUV/crossover that is using similar styling as smaller sports cars. Nice lines and well proportioned. Not that I would ever buy one.
