Baltimore Inner Harbor - Good Eats?
I will be spending next weekend in Baltimore at the Inner Harbor... looking for restaurant suggestions for good eats, beer and wine.
Thanks Ed

Decent crab cake at Rams Head and then there are the chains. Fogo, McMcormick's, all the standard steak joints are around the harbor.
Charleston is great, but spendy. Oceanaire is always good, as is Roy's. If you want to head a few miles north check out Woodberry Kitchen: Celebrating the Traditions and Ingredients of the Chesapeake Region , good food but get a reservation now. Let me know if you have something specific in mind. |

Hull Street Blues (about one mile from the Inner Harbor in Locust Point. It's hard to beat for a reasonably priced crab cake or steak...good beer on tap as well. Try Brewer's Art's Resurrection.
Cork's on South Charles Street has a good rep, but can be expensive. |

We recently had crab cakes at Bo Brooks and they were really good. You have to take the water taxi to Canton (I think its 3 stops away from inner harbor). The restaurant (mainly sea food) has an outdoor deck and is right on the dock where there are some really nice boats/yachts to look at along with a nice view of the sunset over the harbor.

What else is nearby? I understand Fells Point is interesting.

Wharf Rat, Bertha's Mussels in Fells Point Hit lexington Market for lunch...anything and everything can be found there: Faidley's Raw bar on the Paca Street side of the market; plenty of deli's on the Eutaw street side, although it is a pretty good distance (i.e. kind of dicey area) to walk there from the Inner Harbor. Cross Street Market (about 1/2 mile south of the harbor off Light Street) is a much smaller market. Plenty of good bars to choose from on Cross Street.

Fells point is ok but crowded, Canton is really cool, but walk two blocks inland from Bo Brooks and check out Nacho Mamas or the really good Oyster House next door (Murphys's?). Inner Harbor itself is a a tourist trap but Little Italy is an easy walk w/ lots of cool places.
