new toy

A new toy, a Sako 75 in .223 and a Nikon 6.5-20x44 scope.

Tim Hancock 11-30-2009 01:26 PM

Very sharp!

Rick Lee 11-30-2009 01:28 PM

I don't even want to know what .223 costs in your part of the world.

azasadny 11-30-2009 01:57 PM

Very nice!

Joeaksa 11-30-2009 02:10 PM

Very nice! Had some Sako's years ago and liked them. Nice workmanship and beautiful wood.

HardDrive 11-30-2009 02:18 PM

Wow. Beautiful weapon.

Eric Coffey 11-30-2009 02:51 PM

Nice! One of the best bolt-action spoons out there IMO. Found one in .300WM for my step-dad years ago. Exactly what I recommended Souk pick up, in his bolt-action search thread.

It is not a "TOY" it is a SPOON.

EXCELLENT choice. Very nice, very nice.

I hear groundhogs crying all over America.

nostatic 11-30-2009 03:28 PM

I'll bet you can shoot Australia with that thing.

It is hard to miss a CONTINENT even at that range.

Krikey, even the Finns are doing stainless. At least they used wood for the stock.

I really like the checkering a lot. Not just your standard "flag and diamond " panels. Very tasteful. Looks like a nice piece of wood as well.

LOL, thanks for the kind words guys. At first I wanted a cheap .223, then for a bit more I could get... and a bit more.... Actually it's second hand. An elderly gentleman had owned it and cared for it, AND only put about 200 rounds through it - I'll soon fix that!

Rick, most things cost what you pay x 2. Todd, I wouldn't shoot at Australia, we need those guys. In fact if they invaded us I'd stand on the beach saying "fesh lobster, fresh lobster". If they found out how much money we owe you guys and China they would retreat real fast. "Anyone??? NZ going cheap??".

targa911S 11-30-2009 05:04 PM

Used???? Wow. He must have been real careful. Looks new.

Bill Douglas 11-30-2009 05:33 PM

I think he just liked owning them other than shooting them.

MotoSook 11-30-2009 05:40 PM

Geez that thing is beautiful. Congrats...and posts the range results.

Don Ro 11-30-2009 05:54 PM

Beautiful! I'd rub it on my tummy. :o
Why are the windage/elevation towers so tall on that Nikon?

Bill Douglas 11-30-2009 06:17 PM

Ah, that's the trouble. Range results might show the gun is too good for lil ole me haha. No idea Ron, and in the box they had spare ones that are even bigger.
