dude...if i could ever find pictures of a rabbit trip near tuscon. i would be banned from OT. i had a mini 14, and duffle bag of ammo. i was 15, and everyone had various black rifles, long range rifles, shotguns...
rancher asked us to help him with a jackrabbit explosion on his property...even the rancher was stunned.

My middle son has a Remington Model 33 - single shot bolt action. My other middle son has a Model 34, bolt action with a tube magazine. They are like most .22 rifles - functional, accurate and inexpensive.

A few years ago we hunted cottontails in a vineyard with .22s - it got to the point that we would see how many we could kill with a single shot, lining up two or three in a row. By the time we were done, I was a bit nauseous from all the bloodshed but the population was out of control and was destroying the vineyard.
