crash prone jobs

Great, i come in at #3 on the list.
Do they think i have my head in the clouds, not paying attention to what im doing??
Now am i going to get a letter from my insurance carrier that they are raising my rates due to some laughable report about being crash prone.
I better not tell them that i am also left handed, that is supposed to be a higher risk also.

AP-- Some of the most stressful jobs are being called the most "crash-prone" jobs. An insurance website has released a list of the jobs people have that puts them most at risk of getting into a car accident ... and most of the jobs don't rely on driving full-time.

The website says each year, every one-thousand doctors average 109 accidents and 44 speeding tickets ... making them number one on the list. Lawyers, come in second ... with an average 106 accidents for every one-thousand lawyers. Architects come in third. And rounding up the top five ... are real estate brokers and enlisted military personnel.

1. Doctors
Per year, every 1,000 doctors average 109 accidents and 44 speeding tickets, landing them at the top of the list.

2. Lawyers
Per year, every 1,000 lawyers average 106 accidents and 37 speeding tickets.

3. Architects
Per year, every 1,000 architects average 105 accidents and 72 speeding tickets.

4. Real estate brokers
Per year, every 1,000 real estate brokers average 102 accidents and 39 speeding tickets.

5. Enlisted military personnel
Per year, every 1,000 enlisted military personnel average 99 accidents and 78 speeding tickets.

6. Social workers
Per year, every 1,000 enlisted social workers average 98 accidents and 33 speeding tickets.

7. Manual laborer
Per year, every 1,000 manual laborers average 96 accidents and 77 speeding tickets.

8. Analysts
Per year, every 1,000 analysts average 95 accidents and 40 speeding tickets.

9. Engineers
Per year, every 1,000 engineers average 94 accidents and 51 speeding tickets.

10. Consultants
Per year, every 1,000 consultants average 94 accidents and 50 speeding tickets.

I wonder if they concidered nationality or rather origan in those numbers, were I live there are a lot of Asian Doctors, China would be their origan mostly. Not to sterotype but there are certain nationalities that just can't drive.

I can certainly understand how doctors wind up on that list. I wonder if the statistic is even worse if you consider docs in residency. Every year we'd have at least one resident in the program nod off while driving. That's what you get with 110 work hours per week.

I'm accident free, so why is my life insurance so expensive?

OR New York.

I wonder if those statistics include the "registered vehicles" or the people themselves.

I bet there's a lot of Doctor's wives out there high as hell on prozac a speedin' and a crashin'.

I bet there's a lot of Attorneys out there who think they can get out of speeding tickets.

You gotta' admit the top 3 on the list are all typically workaholics, tired all the time and often quite impatient with the lemmings around them while out driving. It kinda' makes sense - at least to me. I know I can be insanely impatient while out driving when I'm trying to get something done (which is just about always).

You'd think crash test dummy would be on the list, someplace.
