Streaming radio to stereo?

How can I wirelessly play Pandora or iHeartradio on my stereo system via my Laptop? I know that an apple airport would let me play my iTunes library over the stereo....

Nope that is for streaming files on your HD... Sorta like the airport... If I go that route I will go with an airport so I can control via my iPhone...

If you have an airport express hooked up to your stereo you can use Airfoil (Rogue Amoeba | Airfoil | Select Your Operating System) to stream audio from any source (not just iTunes) to that airport express. Claims to support Mac & Windows.

Put Pandora on your BB or I-phone. Go to Best Buy and overpay for a simple cable that adapts your BB/IP headphone ouput to stereo RCA jacks ($2 cable that will cost you $20). Plug into the Aux jacks on the back of your receiver/int amp, and voila.

If you have an iPod dock attached to the stereo, you can buy an A2DP streaming bluetooth stereo adapter. They are pretty cheap. I have one in my car. Streams Pandora from my iPhone in my pocket to the car stereo. It will also work connected to my home stereo.

OR... Add a Samsung Blu-Ray player. They have Pandora included.

Ok blu Ray is out in my apartment bc my tv isn't that great. Now this a2dp thing has my interest piqued. Will have to research it when I have my laptop later.

I have one of these at the office:

Logitech Squeezebox

We have a regular one that plugs into our overhead speakers. The duet is a little cooler since it has a wifi remote, but since someone is always sitting by a computer here it's not so important.

We have an airfoil setup at one of the Boss's houses, and while it's cool, it's a little awkward to open a browser hijacked for it and go play music vs. just grabbing a remote and hitting play like the Squeezebox.

Wow that logitech thing is cool... Just a little pricey... So airfoil is hard to use? I'm going to download the free version and play with it on my iPhone... just to see if it looks feesible... Airfoil and and airport is what I am leaning towards right now...

Not hard to use really, just a little goofy and not point and shoot like a typical audio component. Also have to have the computer/laptop fired up and such.

Airfoil is definately cheaper if you already have some of the stuff for it.

Might require WPA-2 security.
