Couldn't be more proud of our new Sailor
We had a great weekend at my Sons PIR Great Lakes, what a fine group of new young Sailors. He is in Division 020 front corner and worked to design the Divisions flag. Now he is off to Port Hueneme, CA as a CM (construction mechanic) with the Seabee's

my congratulations to your son for a job well done and to you for being his parent.
This coming wkend is the annual Army/Navy game, get those tv sets warmed up for a hot game. When Navy makes a td raise your beer glasses to the guy pulling the cord on the cannon, its my son.

Port Hueneme (prounounced why-nee-mee) is the west coast home port for the Sea Bees and part of Naval Base Ventura County which includes Point Mugu Naval Air Station. I bet he loves it here.

Congrats! I spent a fair amount of time at Pt. Mugu years ago and its a nice area. Hope he ships out eventually and sees the world a bit.
