Top Gear Season 14
Anyone watching the current (BBC) season of Top Gear?
Is it just me or has it stopped being very good. Maybe it is budget cuts or they have run out of ideas? I am a huge fan of the show and think the all three hosts are great, but the new season is just boring, no interesting cars or fun challenges, even the great cinematography is lacking. I hope they kick it up a notch again soon.

My daughters wondered how they got the car in the sewer. I think the car just followed the rest of them down there.

I thought the first 3 of season 14 were ok. 14x03 was the best of the lot. 14x04 was a yawner for sure.

Sorry to Hi-jack, but how may I ask are you viewing BBC? I love the show but tire of the re-runs shown on BBC America. If season 14 is really that bad, perhaps I should relish these stale reruns.(?)

The best car-centric episode was the one where they took the 430, the Ford GT, and the Zonda to the Millau Bridge in france.
The music, the camerawork, all perfect.

The one where they made their own electric car was pretty funny.

I doubt that they'll ever top the sequence of JC running down the road in the Aston-Martin and he laments the passing of such great cars and the freedom to just run down the open road. That was a superb bit.

Its maybe been a bit down, but its still by far the best car show on TV. The electric car bit was classic.

I don't really care too much for the show. When I DVR it, I fly through about 3/4's of it. It's like testing a car and talking specifics is just to boring for the programmers and they have to go to elaborate escapades to make it fun. Still, when the talk about cars, its brilliant. The filming especially. Seems they could condense this into a 15 minute show.
