And make sure it's on California's "approved firearms" list. And make sure it is in a locked container, separate from the ammo, and not readily accessible to the occupants of the vehicle. Also, make sure your route does not take you within 1000' of a schoolyard.

 squared.

I do agree with dennis actually. A simple ass-kicking will solve a lot of the world's ills in my experience.

speeder 12-19-2009 10:11 AM

Bullies and ass holes are as old as time. Fkin cavemen had to deal w/ them. If you had to shoot every jerk in the world, it would be WW3 24/7 everywhere. All it takes is someone w/ a spine calling their bluff. Imagine what a tough ex-Marine or Navy Seal living on that street could do. It would be like a Steven Seagal movie w/ bad guys flying thru the air and running like jack rabbits w/ firecrackers up their asses.

Murder charge? In California, yes. Most other states that have reasonable laws allowing deadly force? No. Enjoy your communism, comrade.

So, you're going to get a bunch of your football buddies, form a vigilante mob and go kick some ass? Great. I'm POSITIVE you won't be charged with anything. California encourages vigilante mobs, no?

Then, after your football buddies go home, the dirtbags re-group and kick YOUR ass, rape your wife and burn down your house?

No thanks. I'll make it clean & simple by carrying/using my gun. Thanks for the advice, though.

Yeah, I guess you would not have to worry about retaliation if you shot one of them. Good luck protecting your wife and kids from inside of county jail.

Communist?? FFS, pal. Out of 1 million sperm, you were the fastest?

varmint 12-19-2009 10:56 AM

if you're stupid enough to live in san francisco, maybe you don't deserve to own a gun.

Agreed. I had some run-ins with the neighborhood 'yutes' in one of the neighborhoods i used to live in. That being said, there is a time and a place for putting a gun in a mo-fo's face too.

B-I-N-G-O
Thank heavens they have eliminated guns in SF
This is not a new problem, and I personally know several people robbed at gunpoint in SF.

The Haight is a pretty small area, pair of men on bicycles could cover it, as well as that end of GG park adjacent to it that is also notorious, quite easily.

No prosecution (civil or criminal) for a "clean kill" under the Castle Doctrine. The two states in which I live have the Castle Doctrine on the books.

Yes, I was the fastest sperm. Sounds like the smartest part of you ran down mamma's leg...

Castle Doctrine = no duty to flee. Someone attacks, you shoot, good kill.

Can't find a link to that article. I imagine it will pop up again when Redneck #2 goes on trial for the murder of his buddy.

Here's a FL story involving the Castle Doctrine:

Shooting of burglar in Sorrento was legal -- but 'sickening' -- OrlandoSentinel.com

If you wear a mask they won't know to be afraid of you.

Hey Denis, have you ever heard the song "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" by Jim Croce?

Leroy gets his azz kicked in the end:

Now Friday 'bout a week ago
Leroy shootin' dice
And at the edge of the bar
Sat a girl named Doris
And oo that girl looked nice
Well he cast his eyes upon her
And the trouble soon began
Cause Leroy Brown learned a lesson
Bout messin' with the wife of a jealous man

(Repeat Chorus)

Well the two men took to fighting
And when they pulled them off the floor
Leroy looked like a jigsaw puzzle
With a couple of pieces gone

speeder 12-20-2009 07:59 AM

Yeah, the bullies in the hood would be *Leroy Brown* in that analogy, due for a beating. Is that what you mean?

Jim Croce was truly the Mickey D's of songwriting in the '70s, though. He really sucked bad...

Nope.

I have always taken the lyrics as a kind of warning. No matter how badass somebody thinks he is, there is always a bigger badass out there who can beat the ever-loving hell out of him.

Thats why we have "Smith & Wesson," the tool that made men equal.

how about tossing firecrackers at them

Exactly. Though I prefer my Dan Wesson. ;) :)

Jim Croce really sucked. I think that he had 2 radio songs that were basically the same song, (about the "tough guy" getting his due), and really he was just w/o gift.

You think that I consider myself "Leroy Brown"? If so, you are out to lunch. Always remember that this is the internet and you do not really know me at all. (Unless we've met). If I recall the lyrics of that annoying song, "Leroy Brown" was his way of conveying an image of a big, black pimp who drove a Cadillac and "liked his fancy clothes", etc... And of course he was big and bad and due for an ass-kicking.

I, on the other hand, am neither big/bad/black or drive a Cadillac and I'm not a fancy dresser. I'm also nowhere near being "the baddest guy in town" nor am I thought of as such. Wrong MC. I'm physically an average man but with sort of an *old west* mentality when it comes to bullies and ass holes. I have a spine and a set of balls and I don't cower to aggression. If anything, it makes me extremely indignant. I prefer the company of nice people who have polite conversation and treat others kindly but when confronted w/ the other type, it is not their lucky day. I'm not a good victim.

Always someone tougher? Probably a billion guys in my case, (and at my age). At least several million. I was never the top of that pile, I grew up with guys who were tougher than a $2 steak. But no one needs to be a victim to bullies. And yes, I believe in guns as well. They have their place.
