The Beauty of All Wheel Drive........another new car

Yup, it's about that time again.

2005 Legacy GT Limited, 52k, automatic. Fully loaded, nearly mint condition. It came with a Cobb Accessport, SPT intake and heat shield, Cobb downpipe (no cat), strut braces front and rear, boost gauge, and brand new 18" Enkei wheels with new Pilots. It also came with all the stock stuff so I can put it back to normal prior to selling. All of the modifications were done by the Subaru dealer, no rice crap here. Per Cobb it should have about 300 HP and 340 lb/ft torque (flywheel corrected). The damn thing is a rocket. Great steering and brakes, the automanual is very good, even holding gears when in automatic sport mode. It's a VERY fun car, and pretty practical. Good stuff, this is a fun hobby.

Nice car. Portland is the Subaru capital of the US (or so it seems) but everybody here drives an Outback or Forester. Very few Legacys and even fewer trick ones.

The brakes will be great until you're about 10 minutes into a track session. Then you'll push the pedal and wonder

There's very few Legacys in Wichita. There's quite a few WRXs, STIs, and the pedestrian Imprezas and Outbacks, but very few Legacys. Too bad, it's a very nice car.

I'm very happy with my 2010 MazdaSpeed3. I'm putting winter tires/wheels on it very soon and I'll drive it year-'round like I did with the 2007 MS3 I just sold to my coworker. The MS3 is front wheel drive and 263hp, but it handles like a go-kart and is very fast!

I think that the LGT is one of the most stunning cars to ever come out out Japan, it is beautiful on the inside and if you closed your eyes and sat in it, when you opened it you would easily think you were inside a BMW. The interior is majestic.

The transmission on the auto LGT is the same as on the Infiniti G models BTW..interesting tid bit for you.

I bet that car must be awesome with 300hp and 340ft.lbs!

I have been trying to convince my dad to buy an LGT or just the L (sans turbo)...no luck so far.

Proof that Subaru builds a truly outstanding machine.

Enjoy it.

Art, I'm always looking for a good deal on an MS3. They hold their value so well though, it's a real challenge. Basically they're all still selling at $15k+, pretty impressive for a car that only sells for $21k new. Great cars.

Yasin, I totally agree. It's a huge step forward for Subaru, and definitely compares with the newer BMWs that I have looked at.

Very nice Matt!

Ok, I'll hold all bets: One dollars says the car is flipped by 16 April, 2010

I had one with the flat 6 in it. got rid of it and bought a mini van when the 2nd baby came along. The older one was breaking our backs getting him in the baby seat. Really like driving the Outback or whatever its called.

Funny, I just bought an '08 Legacy GT myself. Some of the interior is a bit cheap, but overall it is a very nice car. I'm looking forward to the first snowfall. *evil grin*

I did a ton of research, and some of the 2.5T motors are prone to go boom. The '05s are pretty stout, however.

Enjoy the car...for the two months you own it!

Is your land Cruiser a keeper? My LC is far superior in the snow. Did canada with it during the winter.

Yeah, I'm keeping the 80. I've done a ton of PM on it, it's an impressive truck. It's super reliable, hauls lots of stuff, and I enjoy driving it. The next step is to do a little light off-roading with it.

Sounds like fun to me. I'm sure the Subie will rock in the snow but it won't take long to get high centered. I'm hoping for a wet winter, I love snow.

One of these days I'll get out for an autoX. The local BMW club guys ask me about it as well. Honestly, I'm just scared of breaking something.

Matt I haven't broken anything... And I pushed the Corrado up on 3 wheels last time....

Bring it down to OKC.... There are lots of sweeps and fun curves that aren't flat like most places.... If you come down on Sat night before I can get you more laps if you are willing to help set cones out.
