I can't imagine you would want to marry any woman who found any part of that 'attractive'.

It's not because you sell t-shirts for a living?

Shaun, did somebody take your erector set away from you when you were a widdle kid?

Serious question; what are we seeing hanging from the headliner in the minivan?

I don't see anything wrong with that, unless you bringing it into the living room or something, you don't have any targa tops or hoods inside the house do you? If that stuff is sitting outside, you should at least throw a tarp over it. Probably too late, aren't you knee deep in snow right about now?

I had a half-dozen parts cars for a while, but I bought an old warehouse, so everything stayed organized and dry, and my wife didn't care one twit.

I'm with Tobra here... I don't see a problem...

My G/F has me moving all the junk in my spare room to the garage... I'm thinking "ya know we are just moving the mess from one place to another".

But I don't say that.

As they say "if she is happy... I am happy"

What does it feel like to give up what you want/like/do just to keep a woman happy(yah, good luck with that)?

I bet it sucks.

Will start snowing late tonight, just got in from bundling it all up, and got the real treasures safe and sound inside at the offices.

That would be nice. I've got 2000 square feet at work, but it's 2nd floor. I did look at a run-down 3-bay gas station (pumps had been removed) with a big lot in a previous life (many years ago) but was surprised at how much it was going for: $450K. Just seemed like a lot. I had a dream of a Porsche repair clubhouse...another day.

just the pumps removed, or pumps and tanks?
you can get a real serious d.e.c. headache if the tanks are still there. free might be too much.

being Boston area, I would have to assume the entire infrastructure and based on condition of the asphalt, it was done a long time ago, but I guess you never know.

FWIW, if you would turn that 911 front clip into a love seat, you might get some action..

Am not on the same par as Thom, but not far behind.

Am too old to change and unless she can put up with me and my crap, she can trott on down the road. Can rent as needed and its far easier than putting up with their telling me I have too many car/motorcycle/airplane parts.

I've cleaned up my act significantly. No more bicycles or motorcylces in the great room, repair projects in the dining room or tools degreasing in the kitchen sink. I'm still single because I like to disappear on my beemer for days at a time, hop a plane to the caribbean when a bud calls...stuff like that.

I don't think so. Odds are someone is just a little deluded/browbeaten into thinking they are enjoying their 'life.'

Like the dude on the Geico commercial whose wife is making him carry a purse.

Hehehe

As far as hoarding/parts in the house, my mom broke that streak in me at the age of 16, when she caught me degreasing my 350 chevy cylinder heads in the bathtub.

Ah, the memories.
