Definitely get yourself some clipless.

And don't ditch that girl anytime soon. She's a keeper.

Good for you. Looks like you also got one of the last made in the U.S. C'dale is supposedly moving their operations overseas.

Yeah, and ditto with the pedals. Shimano 105 will work well.

Damn Damn Damn!!! But nothing says FRED better than a cable lock on the seat post. Ditch that yesterday.

You won't believe how much better it will be with clipless pedals/shoes. Wish I could be there with camera the first time you pull up to a stop

Meh! Nothing to worry about when stopping with clipless pedals. They work with your body's natural inclination to keep from falling by pulling your feet out heel first. Like, as I've been told, with ski bindings.

Now, hopefully you have that inclination to not fall.

Cool bike

I'm jealous, it's way too cold to ride here now.

You wouldn't believe how many times I fell on the mountain bike when I first went clipless.
Sometimes I feel lucky to have survived....
Nice Bike!
Nice Girl!

We rode them up to the gym and the gf was adamant about using a bike lock. Not a permanent fixture

Thats exactly why I used the regular pedals on my first ride. I knew I would end up dumping it, lol.

Hehe, for the trifecta, add a kickstand.

It does look like a nice ride, and the high bars is a real plus.
