That's a bit of a shock. Funny, but I find myself hoping the real reason he's stepping down is because they lost to 'Bama....meaning, I hope his health issues are either non existent or not serious.

Now he pulled a Farve and is taking an "indefinite" leave of absence.

Any reports of the Ole Ball Coach's location? I am sure UF has a replacement in mind already but I would hate to see him back on the sidelines in FLA (UGA fan here

Never liked him. Then last year in an interview he admitted he made up a story about a reporter saying something about an Fla. player to motivate the player. Did someone say what a Douche.

Per ESPN Bob Stoops was the favorite to replace Meyer, before he changed his mind.

I wonder if UF's recruiting is going to be screwed up by all this drama/uncertainty with the head coach.

Just got back to the keyboard after sending up that link to the original story....
I'm saddened Meyer has any health concerns, whatever they may be. However, for some reason I am a bit perplexed about his "about face." I can understand some of the thinking, I suppose. I mean, it would be a shame to up and quit and by some good grace over come his health matters, etc. and then be out of a job. But really, something bothers me about it all. And it isn't because I care that much about football.
