James May - Lego House - Full Size

James May from "Top Gear" built a full sized house of Legos - he had help...

James May’s Lego Villa | The Rubble Club

It cost too much to move it to Legoland and it's been demolished.

I guess "Top Gear" isn't a full time job.

Tim, is that Ecoblock? I helped my father-in-law build their house from Ecoblock, incredible stuff.

Neat to see Lego back in the market. Fantastic toys that will hopefully teach kids a little creativity (considering it's all been quashed in public schools).

James May has a series on TV just now, all toy based.

A toy train line miles long following the course of a now closed real one
Longest slot car track (Brooklands) Surrey
Spitfire model 1:3

The lego house was variously successful given its flimsy scaffold base causing structural cracks, Lego isn't terribly watertight either as he discovered.

all said though our TV has been dismal here this Christmas, Scrubs has some new writers, although 2 1/2 men's not toooooooo bad

The Spitfire was full scale. Pretty interesting episode. I hear the one about the plasticine(?) flowers was good, too.
