Most people are saying "two thousand ten" now, by the end of the year most of us will have converted to saying "twenty ten". I think the poll is showing this group to be a bit progressive in that manner.
The reason for this, (if it happens) is that the concept of dealing with a double digit year ending is just sinking in.
Like a little kid holding up four fingers, pausing (still holding the thumb back) then using his other hand to add another finger for a total of five years old. We just need time to adjust and for things to sink in.
