Have done it several times and frankly I would not do it again. As well there is not enough money in the world to get me to drive at night in Turkey. I love Turkey and its people but leave the driving to someone else.
If you are silly enough to try this, please get the "Medivac insurance" that will bring you back to either Europe or N.America for medical treatment should something happen. I spent years picking up accident victims in that part of the world and medical treatment there can be difficult. Good Luck!
