One of the 911s drivers from the 60's-70's son drives the Ferrari...trying to contact him for more info, I think....

Mine had seats just like that until a horse eat the drivers side.

They're probably on this over on the S registry. Let these guys have it...for fools and their money are quickly parted. :D

Just because they're on our ignore lists doesn't mean they don't exist...;)

Yeah...it's tough to kill those car guy urges of old tho. I was fat, dumb and happy with the Bullitt Mustang just as it sits. Then I started visiting the Bullitt board...now terrible thoughts are creeping into my head. Wider wheels & tires, superchargers, bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, etc.

And for what? So I can get to the pool hall faster???

(edit) Looked at some of the S registry board link you provided. Once it became clear that the seller of this car is just out to make a quick buck, I quit reading. Capitalism is great...I wish him well, but he's not getting any of my money.

Nah...so guys our age can get to the rest stops quicker:eek:

pwd72s 01-04-2010 11:24 AM

HOOT! Truth in that one. There is a semi serious discussion going on in the pool posting boards. That guys over 50 should be allowed more breaks during a match. :D

Sapporo Guy 01-04-2010 11:26 AM

part out the rear deck? why?

maybe he got contradictory information about the car?

The deck was a spare...offered on ebay at $5K opening bid (reserve not met).

The exhaust trumpets also spare, offered at $1K opening bid (Yup....reserve not met).

pwd72s 01-04-2010 02:19 PM

Why sell now? LOL! He probably looked into the cost of restoring this decrepit piece...

Dueller 01-05-2010 03:56 PM

This one makes the one in the original post seem like a bargain...NUTS:eek:

Yep...but the flippers figure all it takes is one fool...you'll note, 0 bidders on that 1973 S. Evren's car has less than half the mileage...is original paint, etc. I could have sold for easily twice what I sold to him for...but then, I got the promise that it would never leave Turkish soil...that was worth a lot to me.

P.T. Barnum was right...
