I'd like to revisit the vasectomy thread

I don't want to get one but may have to. Just tell me the truth; is it gonna hurt?

The shots sting a bit...nothing horrendous. When they grab the vas deferens its a bit of an uncomfortable tug. Some groin soreness after anesthesia wears off but an ice pack for 2-4 days pretty much takes care of that. Some tenderness like a bruise for 10 days or so.

How lucky do you feel? I know some people that didn't feel a thing. Others I know carried their swollen nuts around in a wheelbarow for a few days and avoided sitting down, for some reason. It's kinda random... JR | ||

Learn this phrase: "Honey, I did this for you. I'm really sore so if you would just do this for me while I lay here, I really would appreciate it." That'll get you lay back and relax BJ's for at least four weeks

Mine was no problem until I went out and dug fence post holes when I got bored that afternoon. The next day was miserable. I had to get divorced to improve the sex life.......

The morning of mine, the wife took me out for breakfast, I slammed a few Bloody Mary's! I was a nervous f'ing wreck! Just hours away from having a man doc work down there and then when I get there, a smoking hot nurse comes in to prep me!!! (Ahem...shave!) Actually the needles sting a bit but the procedure is non eventful, I demanded and received drugs after wards though, I wanted no memory of that event.

No big deal, take it easy afterward. I went back to the office after the procedure. Allot of worries for nothing. Now I don't worry about shooting anything with a loaded gun.

Yep. Vasectomy was one of the best things I ever did. Definitely frozen peas. I asked the doctor if anything would be different. He said it would feel the same, look the same, smell the same, and taste the same. I told him I'd take his word on the taste bit. He was right (except I'll never know about the taste part ) if I didn't remember being there I wouldn't know I had it done. It makes sex much more enjoyable since there is no anxiety anymore.
