New race track in Arizona!

Seems that there is a new racetrack in Arizona! Just SE of Tucson out in the middle of no-where.

Its both a road circuit, and road course. Sorry, no oval for the crashcar wussies, real men turn right and left. It has 22 turns in 2.2 miles of track. One straight of 2200 feet, so top speeds should be pretty good. Also has a 3800 foot runway so smaller jets can land there.

Dave,

I still barely recall my days racing open wheel stuff on SCCA.

In the end it would have been cheaper to lite my cigars with $100 bills. Racing aint cheap!

Good for you Joe. Sounds like what Monticello did originally. Was supposed to be membership only. I guess they didn't get enough members or something so they let clubs run there. Our local PCA region does. Hopefully I will in 2010.

I'm not following you, Joe... AFAIK, those two are equivalent.

It's called INDE? That sounds like an unnecessary lawsuit to me. Do rich people want to see their fun money spent lawyering up to fight the Hulmans?

Those prices are cheap compared to those at our local track-country club, Autobahn CC.

They seem to be doing well, but them the Chicagoland area may have a larger pool for members and we're somewhat central to Midwest autosport activities.

Oh, it's one of those tracks... Unless they drop the price of admission substantially, I'll never be attending.
