Might not be entirely kid-friendly, but Antonio's at Sand Lake - 7559 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando (407) 363-9191‎ has the best fried calamari appetizer I have ever had. I have been there 3 times with consistent results. Big portions & good food.

Vito's Chop House is very good for steak as is the Charley's location on Orange Blossom.

When I worked in Orlando for a couple of weeks, I made repeat visits to Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ. Mmmmmm....good....

I second Antonio's. Great food and good time.

I haven't eaten on the Danforth in years. Antonio's calamari is actually tender. Not like most which has the texture of an eraser. They serve it lightly breaded with a great cream dipping sauce.
