I've got a buddy. He's friends with a guy that's got a shop in Houston that fixes stuff. The drowned Bugatti is in that shop. The same shop fixed the Enzo that the actor ran into the concrete divider.

Maybe it was an advertising stunt (albeit and expensive one). He touts his business as the "leader in salvage rebuilds."

The drowned Veyon should be quite valuable as a parts car. VW didn't make any spares. Need an ECU, a fender or a switch? Go ahead, make one.

This shop?

I don't think the shop just fixed the Enzo, I think they bought it. I've seen it, he gives people drives in it for charity.

Lemme rephrase that...Andy bought the Enzo after the shop fixed it. I have always *presumed* that Andy either owns the shop, invests in it, or is bestest buddies with the owner, since he's been connected to them on more than one car.

Dunno, I only know how to find secret stashes of pictures on the web

It's the same Enzo we saw at Keels and Wheels, I'm almost positive. I was acquainted with a guy that worked at that shop a few years ago through a different internet forum.

Yes, same Enzo as the one at Keels and Wheels. I'll check with my buddy (BMW nut) on the name/location of the shop. He's good friends with the guy (Andy I guess). He was always trying to get me to drive over to look at stuff, but darn, that shop is way the hell up on the north side (where my buddy lives). Getting there from Friendswood is a freakin' hike and a half.

So the guy who owns a salvage exotic sales lot turns his Veyron into a salvage title vehicle - seems a little fishy to me - so to speak
