LOL, many years ago I drug home a 914 that didn't have an induction system on it, so I decided to turbocharge the thing and posted that on a 914 board that doesn't even exist anymore.
Several very knowledgeable people said, "you can't turbocharge a type 4, the heads can't take the heat".
I said, I think I can do it, and I did. it actually worked pretty darned good for a home-made system cobbled together from junk yard parts that cost under $500.

Since then it's been a running joke on the 914 forums.
Anytime the conversation turns to turbocharging a 914, the standard reply is "you can't turbocharge a 914".
