Tents blowing over at auctions in Phoenix

We've had a bit of weather here this week. What a terrible time to have your car at the auctions. Russo & Steele lost two tents to the wind. Original reports said it was Barret Jackson, but seems that's not the case now.

Yeah, first time I have seen a "tornado warning" on the news here. Yikes!

But no.

There's no climate change.

Nothing to worry about.

You really think the wind that blew over a few tents in Arizona was caused by man??

YEP, for those of us that have been around here for a couple of decades this is old news. Even Steinbeck wrote of it in East of Eden.

Of course there is! The Earth was made for us and is supposed to stay comfortable, especially for those in N. America. Anything else requires a UN-action to take over the rich countries to save the rest of us. Man, what hell it's gonna be this summer if we have a few days under 110 deg.

Wow, those pictures look awful, lots of crushed roofs. I hope all that replacement glass is available, some will probably be write-offs.

Was Algore around? He can spew a lot of hot air.

Hold on, do you guys mean to say this is not the first time the wind blew a tent over?

Prior to man there was no wind, and it was 72 and sunny every day in Phoenix. SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE?

It's like that here most of the time anyway. I can live with a storm once in a while. Though last week in Vegas and LA was no fun.

That's nuts. I was at Barrett-Jackson for a couple hours on Wednesday last week. I didn't know there was another auction in town or that those structures were only tents until I was in line for the bus to leave. Hard to believe given the usual weather out there. One of those freak things I guess..

rumor has it russo and steele have some financial problemos even before the tents blowing onto the 101 freeway. owners madder than wet hens because fire marshall deemed area unsafe until sunday. so.....................all those cars that were protected by the tents got a real DOUCHING via the rain gods.

remains to be seen where this one goes. entire property a mud bog.

more rain tuesday and then some more this weekend.

4.85 inches my house(my record for 28 years was 4.5"). just north of me 7.91 inches. at camp creek 8.75" of rain and at black canyon city like 9" of rain.

I see collector car insurance rates going up.
That clown car was pretty creepy with the clown still in the passenger seat.
