Burn Out Competition Winner or Maybe Loser?

Found this video that took place not far from home. Pretty wild results. WOW never expected this result of a tire letting loose. Should have used better rubber.

I wouldn't want to be as close to something like that as the spectators are and holy $hit....

I guess I am just an old geezer. I don't understand the desire to do a burnout. I love to autocross and chew up tires, but a burnout just seems stupid to me.

Yeah,

It's sad that our generation has raised a bunch of kids that think this is something worth doing. Makes me want to shoot myself, they can be so stupid.

Frankly, I am happy the tires got a little revenge on these brain-dead a**wipes.

Burn outs go way back, that is why they are popular with Hot Hodders, and my old club, had members in thier 60s & 70s, who still do burn outs..

The spectators are perfectly safe. Didn't you see the yellow tape?

Yeah, but I think things have changed. In the old days, a burn out was more of the sort that you do at the drags. Nowdays, it seems like the goal is to kill the tires. Bonus points are awarded if you blow something up...

If only they could use some of those tires the drifters use with colored smoke. Then it would be even awesomer.

every car show ive been too that has hot rods or early muscle cars has a burn out competition that you wont win until you at least pop a tire. it draws the biggest crowd. and it is very cool to see 60-70s big block muscle cars doing burnouts. trucks and camrys?? not so much..

Haha! I like the part where the one guy says, "There's a thousand dollars worth of damage right there" to which his buddy replies, "It's more than that."

I was thinking the whole car was worth less than $750 beforehand.
