Picked one up a few months ago and like it!
I am not tech savvy but this phone is easy to operate.

Try one!

Loved the StarTac, loved the Razr but then I am pretty easy on them. Never had a problem with them and wish I did not need email and phone together. I still use my Razr overseas as a backup "local" phone.

I don't know what happened to the frame on my RAZR II. I am very careful with my "toys" and it was never dropped or abused. I even contacted Motorola about it after reading about others having the same issue. They denied the existence of any issues with the frame and would not repair the phone under warranty.

I bought the Droid Eris. No slide out keyboard, much lighter and cheaper. After suffering through a few Microsoft "smart" phones that all sucked this thing rocks. Interface is great, phone seems to work fine, etc. The best part is our organization moved to Google Apps/Docs for work email and thing seamlessly integrates, updates instantly and looks just like my desktop. Even the chat feature works great. I'm a fan so far. Coverage is a local things, some companies better than others in certain markets. Verizon has worked better for me in Seattle even though it's an early market for both companies.

On our recent trip to SLC my wife borrowed my Verizon blackberry (from work) several times as her sprint phone was zero bars. Never noticed a lack of coverage. Our family sprint plan expires in a couple months and I'm going with either AT&T or Verizon. Both have good coverage at our home - Sprint as no bars... No need for international phone service at this time. Main plug for AT&T is that a close family friend works for Nokia and can get phones for nothing if one of ours gets wasted. That said I'd prefer staying with Verizon - I can't recall ever being without service with them.

Interesting thread. I was just trying to decide between a Blackberry or Droid.
