The Beach Boys car is a 1971, and only 13 Hemi covertible's were built. Nash Bridges car is a clone, looks good. Hemi Cuda's sold in the heyday for about 500,000 to 2 million. BJ auctions had a lot to do with that. Lots of dummies with lots of money.

Nope. It was a plain Jane 318 two barrel with an automatic. It sold on BJ a couple of years ago. Didn't go for much, even with Don Johnson having farted in the seat.

Speaking of auctions....

A guy I knew from high school, his family owned a body shop. Pretty sharp guy. He had old Cadddy's and a Duesenberg. His dad started buying any late 60's early 70's muscle cars. This was around 1977 -80. He wound up with a red 70 or 71 Hemi Dodge Challenger convertible. He said it was one of 4 made that year.
Do you guys think that is true ??

I know there are places you can look up production numbers for most muscle cars.

how i roll at mach speed is :

a) i know shift change hours.

b) rough idea of donut hours

c) always let a "rabbit" who is DYING TO RACE YOU, go by you like you were standing still and use HIM FOR BAIT!

d) lazer beam death ray DAR DAR DETECTOR(escort)

e) know the road and the TERRAIN(ie> hiding spots) dont haul ass if ya cant see.

f) watch truckers behavior

g) blip it only when i have given the sky a looky see for aeroplanes/satellites/balloons/UAV's

h) and thats how i have kept my wallet,my car, stayed out of jail, and a SPOTLESS DRIVING RECORD since 1996!(last speeding ticket-84 in a 55mph zona).

i) and get my YA YA's out at the track when possible, or let off steam out in the dez with my racey truck.

That is how I have kept a clean record since an illegal u-turn in '89.

I must admit I got pulled over for taking a left at a light where there was a posted "no left turns" sign at the intersection in Plymouth Meeting, PA a few weeks ago. I actually did not see the sign until it was pointed out to me by the officer that pulled us over; my fault. I imagine that the fact that I was driving my wife's truck out for a dinner date (we were both dressed up ) and showed the officer the proper respect..we left with out a ticket and he gave us directions to where to take a legal left turn next time. I seriously thought I would have been ticketed just for having a Philly registration out in the suburbs. I was glad to be proven wrong.

There is absolutely nothing about that car that I even find remotely beautiful.
Sorry.

What is with Arizona anyway? Where does this rule come from anyway?

What is the Interstate speed limit out there anyway? 65? 75?

I would think the West + wide open highways = a more relaxed stance regarding speeders..??

I have done lots of trips to New Mexico, I think they are glad if you have 4 wheels and insurance! Utah has lots of highway PD. Colorado is mixed. Wyoming is wide open!

Like anything else.........you should appreciate it for what it is and what it represents. The Pinacle of the Muscle car era. The one thing I can't believe is that there is a efffin aftermarket battery.......yellow no less in an other-wise beautifully detailed car
