BMW S100RR spinning at 14,200 rpm - VIDEO

Wow..... at 2:20 it is at redline of 14,200 rpm

This is cool. It is something I think about as I cruise along on a track at 5K to 6K with an engine with over 130,000 miles. How many times have the valves opened and closed.

it's completely open, you can see the oil spray out, and the fumes ... fume out ...

at those rpms, i think it be just the oil misting up from splashing on the fast moving parts

yes, so that's only around 118 revolutions per second at that engine speed. Easy peasy.

That bike looks crazy fast and not really much more expensive than a comparable Japanese bike. If I was in the market for a new bike the S1000RR would be at the top of my list.
