London Chop Shop

Has anyone seen the show on Discovery the London Chop Shop? The website is here: Chop Shop: London Garage - Discovery Channel . This show is worse than pimp my ride. When they get done molesting a car it is a total abomination. I can't help but watch the show because it is like watching a train wreck. It doesn't surprise me they haven't sold any of the junk they have produced. Here is one example. This poor e36 M3 didn't know what hit it.

I like watching the workplace dynamic on the show--I like the old guy.

I thought the jag XJS turned out pretty nice.

you'd get better results leaving your car at a planned parenthood.

What really scares me is I found some higher res pics of thier stuff floating around the web. The fit and finish is horrible. TV actually masks a lot of the sins on their stuff.

Nasty!

In a very bad way.

This might explain some of it.

My kids love this show, or at least Leepu and his goofy "inspiration process". And his insistence on using special "Bangladeshi Steel"

The train wreck analogy is spot on. My son came and explained during one episode that they were building a car for the Goodwood FOS, which made no sense to me.

Turned out it was the hacked up XJS, and they were indeed "unveiling" it at Goodwood, albeit in the public parking lot.

I've heard that instead of the death penalty, the British are forcing the perpetrators to take high speed rides in the cars that they build.

Is it me or does the white one that is third one down in quaz's post have bumpers/lights that look ripped directly off of a euro 944?

One of the things that really scares me about these creations is how unsafe they are. On that BMW he used spacers on the wheels that are 9-10 inches (inches not mm) long! If the wheel bearing lasted one week with that much force on them I would be amazed.

Man they are so wrong on so many levels...Those cars are BRUTAL and remind me of BRUTAL styling from the 1980's.... The "Pegassus" was another fine example of something which could be done but SHOULDN'T have!

(if you feel the need to get sick, there is a handy white bag under your seat)

Top Gear is far better than any American car show. This offsets it.
