Question for the moderators
 

Why is it ok to show torture, men killing eachother at war etc. but the minute someone shows a women's breasts (tastefully I might add), you guy's delete the photo?

Thanks Maxnine for doctoring her and putting it back up. Since she isn't torturing or killing anyone, don't know how long it will stay there.

Where are there pictures of torture and murder on this website?

You'd get a lot farther with the Mods if you just PMed them instead of starting another thread to complain. I'd start with the one that deleted the pict and see what he has to say.

You wouldn't take a dump on your neighbor's couch would you, then why would you do it here.

I figured out a way to beat the mods at their own game. I get here online and at the same time I have a naked chick sitting in a chair in front of me. So I get to see boobs and type on OT at the same time. Ha, ha! Joke's on you mods!

It was a nice picture, and we all love boobies, but (as mentioned) the rule here is no nudity, and that's the way the guy who owns the board wants it. I'm ok with that.

Rika, In spite of what others here may think and want, this is still a free country, and this is a public forum. There are still rules here that supercede other factions rules. Don't let a few drive you away. I'm sure there are many rational people here and at Pelican. At least I hope there are.

See, that's where you're wrong. This is NOT a public forum. This is a message board owned by a private company. The owner of this message board is not REQUIRED to provide you with . . . . anything at all.

It is a free country, and that's why you can make YOUR OWN message board and post your picture on it.

Since most of us appreciate the service provided to us FREE OF CHARGE by the owner of this company, we don't mind following the rules that he has requested we follow.

r356t: As a moderator, believe it or not, I have a life outside of these forums. As such, I do not have the time to read each and every new thread and post. We rely on the members to 'self moderate' here. If one of the mods don't catch an infraction, it is up to the users who saw something to report it to a moderator. Then we can take action on something we may not have even seen posted to begin with. Also note that I moderate these forums on a voluntary basis - I am not a Pelican Parts Employee (although there are some Pelican Parts Employees who are moderators), nor do I get paid by Pelican Parts, nor do I get special discounts here.

And as stated before - this is NOT a public forum - I get so sick and tired of people who state, "It's a free country - why can't I post PORN here?!?" Well, look at it this way -- posting something illegal here can jeopardize the whole website. Do you want someone starting a lawsuit against Pelican Parts because a child was exposed to pornography or worse? Or a government investigation into illegal activities? I think not.

This is a car enthusiast website started by a company that sells parts for cars. The forums are a 'value added' aspect of Pelican Parts. While most of the forums are technical discussions about cars, there are a couple of forums where off-topic discussions can be posted. As long as those threads and posts are within the forum rules and guidelines, that is ok. IF they are not, then they are dealt with - by the moderators and by the forum members reporting problems to the moderators.

This is not a pornography based website. Nor is it a website that promotes illegal activities. Those were not the intentions of this website. If want to get involved in things outside the scope of this website then feel free to surf on over to somewhere else. I do not understand why this concept is so difficult for some to comprehend.

First of all, I assume your a political science major. You completely sidestepped my initial querry. I'm glad unlike most here you have a life and even though you are no more than a minion at Pelican, I will respond to some of the points you brought up. Iam the last person here to want to see porn anywhere. The calendar was an attemp to show that naked women could be shown tastefully and non offensive. I'm sure a lot here would not know the differance so you may have a point in banning all nude photos. However, why is it alright for kids to come here and see torture videos as apposed to a nipple?

If I had another photo of that bike I would have used it, I didn't, sorry. Now will you or someone with some balls answer my original question.
