No restart, it really is a 2nd, or 3rd... OS/machine. You still only have the same memory available though, and the VM's need memory. If you go the vm route make sure you have lots of memory on pc.

That's crazy. The 2.66 or 2.8 MB Pro looks very tempting.

What I like about your scenario is I can print invoice/packing slip/UPS label and PDF copies all in chair. There's a lot of jumping around with the separate PC and I find I need to email PDF orders a lot, which means creating on the PC and then emailing to my Mac and then forwarding on.

Do I have to restart? can I easily swap back and forth between OS?
Hey Shaun,

Don't buy a Mac for another two weeks or so, new models are supposed to come out any day now.

As for VMWare Fusion, you have Windows up in a separate Window. No need to switch on and off. You will however need a Mac with an Intel processor, which rules out your current one. You can download a 30 day trial from VMWare.

Thanks Neil, that is great to know, thank you. Looks like a new, or good used 2.66/2.8 unibody is in my future. will be nice to have one computer. I can't get one until after the NY show week after next anyway, working on fall sampling right now.

new BMX style shirt. going to run knobby tracks over it and some kind of moto-cross artwork.
